After a number of years in Fashion PR, Kate co-founded successful London based retail store, Nook, in 2012 running it for 6 years, and was involved in every aspect of running the business.

With a particular interest in Social Media, Marketing and E-commerce, Kate now lives in rural Somerset with her young family.

"Having always thought I would live out my days in my birth place of London, I found moving to a new part of the country that I had no connection with both liberating and grounding. I was forced to re-establish myself and re-think my ambitions and desires. Although it was a big decision to leave behind my successful retail career, it felt like the right thing for me at that stage in my life, and I'd like to encourage others to follow their dreams and challenge the status quo".

Natalie is the founder of Caro, a design brand for life and home based in Bruton, Somerset. Having opened the store in 2015 Caro now offers a one bedroom B&B and events space used for workshops, as well as a studio for photo shoots.

Moving to the countryside to be with her husband, Natalie left a career in London working as an Account Manager for design agency, Winkreative and previously in trend forecasting at The Future Laboratory.

"Moving to the country was a completely new territory for me. Not only did I have no friends here, I was unfamiliar with the culture of country-life and I had no idea how to run a shop. Although it was scary, I have completely changed my life for the better. We often get stuck in situations which, without realising, can prevent us from living to our full potential. Mixing it up and exploring new directions can provide new found confidence and realisations."
